About Beowulf
Beowulf is a protagonist and an epic hero in the short story, "Beowulf". Throughout the story he fights in numerous battles with various people. His first battle was with the monster, Grendel, who was cruel and dangerous. Grendel attacked for 30 years and had put a spell on mortal weapons so that no one could hurt him, but Beowulf stopped his roll of attacks by ripping off his arms and shoulders from his body. Another battle was against Grendel's mother, who came to avenge her son's death. Beowulf killed her with a magic sword. Lastly, Beowulf's most worthy and strongest battle was against the fierce fire breathing dragon. During this fight Beowulf struggled more than any other battle he had been. Eventually the dragon had overcome Beowulf by biting him, because the blood of the dragon was poisonous. Later on, Beowulf died but his legacy was left with his men. Beowulf was strong, crafty, confident, and brave and throughout his battles that was shown.
